You will actually not find the technical information on how to implement and render the Collector Checkout product here, instead we have set up a different site for that purpose:
This site contains all details necessary on how the actual checkout is rendered together with flow charts and example code. Pretty much everything you'll need!
How to manage the purchases
We're talking about activations, adjustments and returns. The Checkout creates the invoice, but the steps that follow also needs to be taken into consideration. There's two ways of doing this:
- Through API requests
- In the Partner Portal
What you choose depends on your needs. With API requests, all the administration can be done automatically without any manual input. If using the Partner Portal, you will need to manually administer the purchases.
Our suggestion is that you go for the API requests if you're shipping a lot of orders to minimize the manual administration. Keep in mind that this will include development time on your end. Therefore, if your volume is a bit lower, you could probably go with the Partner Portal, at least to start with.
You can find details on the API requests under the Integration section.
Good to know
No matter which payment method was used when the purchase was made, the checkout generates an AddInvoice request. This means that you will need to activate the invoice when the merchandise is ready to be sent. When the invoice is activated, you will receive the settlement the following bank day.
